Rupinder Kaur is an extraordinary woman with an extraordinary mission. In the community of Albury- Wodonga, she is known to be a strong, confident and bubbly woman.

Not only is she a White Ribbon Ambassador and Deputy Chair of the Albury-Wodonga Ethnic Communities Council, she’s also a pillar of strength for women overcoming the horrors of domestic violence. She’s also a role model for ethnic women who find themselves lost and alone in a new country.

Rupinder grew up in a small village of Punjabi, India. At a very young age, her life was marred by tragedy when her father died. Fortunately, Ruby’s paternal Aunt adopted her and raised her with strong morals and beliefs.
In 2007, Rupinder immigrated to Australia with her husband in the hope of having a good life. She began studying nursing so that she could accomplish her calling in life- to help other people. Sadly, her partner had other ideas.
